The Associate Provost for Student Success provides strategic leadership and a focus on innovation for institution-wide Saluki student success initiatives that inspire the faculty, students and staff to greater academic excellence. Responsible include:
  • Manage all Saluki Student Success initiatives and programs.
  • Lead institution-wide student advising and retention initiatives.
  • Oversee campus-wide tutoring services and staff.
  • Coordinate UNIV 101, the first-year seminar course.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of supplemental/corequisite instruction.
  • Collaborate with student affairs on First-year Experience and Living Learning Community initiatives and programming.
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop and then coordinate Freshman Interest Groups (FIGs).
  • Participate in the SIU Student Success Council.
  • Research, develop and coordinate high-impact and best practices for student success.
  • Advise and represent Academic Affairs with internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to student success.
